Saturday Kitchen, Countdown to Christmas!

Olly was in the Saturday Kitchen last Saturday 4th December counting down to Christmas with Matt, chefs Georgie Hayden and Tom Parker Bowles and special guest, John Bishop!

With Georgie’s delicious Festive Gemista, Olly paired it with Mirabeau Pure Rosé 2020. Currently on offer at £10 (down from £15.49 until 15th Dec) at Waitrose.

With Tom’s classic Cheese Toastie (which you can have with turkey gravy or miso mushroom sauce), Olly recommends enjoying with a glass of Cap Royal Bordeaux Rouge (Tesco, £10)

Viewers chose Food Heaven for John! Matt served him Handkerchief Pasta with a Mushroom and Truffle Sauce which Olly recommends with Silène Limoux Chardonnay (Co-op, £10).

Olly made a Southside cocktail from Home Cocktail Bible…

60ml (2oz) gin

30ml (1oz) freshly squeezed lemon juice

15ml (1/2 oz) syrup

6-8 mint leaves

Ice: Cubed

Muddle the mint leaves in the bottom of a shaker, add ice, add the remaining ingredients, shake vigorously to chill, strain into a chilled glass
