Saturday Kitchen – BBC Special

Saturday Kitchen celebrated 100 years of the BBC last Saturday with Matt, Andi Oliver and Ching-He Huang serving up dishes, inspired by their food heroes, and Olly pouring the drinks for Scott Mills and TV royalty, Floella Benjamin.

Here are Olly’s drinks pairings in case you missed them…

Andi Oliver paid tribute to Madhur Jaffrey with Mutton Curry. Olly paired this with BrewYork Juice Forsyth IPA from Waitrose (£3.00).

Ching He-Huang paid homage to the great Ken Hom with Roast Duck Wraps, which Olly recommended with a glass of Extra Special Chilean Pinot Noir 2021, Asda (£6.50).

Matt prepared Gary Rhodes’ Smoked Haddock with Welsh rarebit. Olly paired El Jardin de Ana Godello 2021 from Tesco (£10.00).

With Matt’s Roast Sea Bream in wine and cream with olives and capers, Olly poured a glass of Specially Selected Portuguese Encruzado 2021, Aldi (£7.49).
