Drinking like Bond in Singapore
Olly had great fun co-hosting the Drink Like Bond event at 67 Pall Mall in Singapore with his pal Richard Hemming MW. Here are the 007 wines they tasted:
Wine 1: NV Bollinger, Special Cuvée, Brut
Wine 2: 2013 Niepoort, Fio Wines, Riesling, Piesporter Goldtröpfchen
Wine 3: 2021 Artemis Karamolegos, Assyrtiko, Pyritis
Wine 4: 2020 Castello di Brolio, Chianti Classico, Gran Selezione, Barone Ricasoli
Wine 5: 2006 Château Angélus
Wine 6: NV Bodegas Lustau, Peninsula, Solera Reserva, Palo Cortado
They bent the rules with Karamolegos which technically doesn’t feature in the books or films but since the wine is so good, artistic license was taken as a nod to the Greek theme of For Your Eyes Only. We’re sure Bond would approve given the winking rule-breaking mercenary that he is!
