Absurdly good value for money, this is as fruity and scented as a strawberry nuzzling in a rosebud. With pleasingly defined firm grip, this is a no brainer for a barbecue and tastes deliciously refreshing after 30 minutes chilling in the fridge or an ice bucket. A blend led by Carignan, supported by Caladoc and Grenache, it’s produced by Les Grands Chais de France, a leading European producer and merchant which has managed to deliver a fun, characterful quaffing red with a bit of flair and panache. Olympic gold!
