Olly was in the studio with Matt at the helm, chefs Andi Oliver and Adam Byatt cooking up delicious dishes for special guest Carol Kirkwood.
With Andi’s Pholourie, ‘bush tea’ gremolata and blackberries, Olly poured a glass of Blueprint Prosecco Spumante NV Veneto, Waitrose (£7.49) and for a non alcohol version, M&S Alcohol Free Fizzier Rose (£3.75).
With Adam’s Fillet of brill steamed in fig leaves with beurre blanc, trout roe and tomatoes, Olly recommended Domaine Skouras Assyrtiko 2021, Nemea, Majestic (£12.99 Mix Six).
For Carol’s food Heaven choice of Seared scallops with avocado purée, marinated cucumber, mushrooms and potato crisps, Olly matched Journey’s End Spekboom Sauvignon Blanc 2021, Sainsbury’s (currently on offer at £8.50 down from £10).
