Platinum Jubilee Cocktails!
Here’s Olly’s Jubilee Cocktail recipes from this morning’s special BBC Saturday Kitchen!
GIN & DUBONNET FOR THE QUEEN
50ml Dry Gin
100ml Dubonnet
Mix all ingredients over ice, strain into a tumbler packed with cubes of ice and a lemon wheel!
GREEN & GOLD!
For our two queens of the studio, I combined green for Ireland and Anna with gold for Ellie’s medals, together in this cocktail and the most beautiful vibrant colours.
60ml Tequila Reposado
7.5ml agave syrup
15ml freshly squeezed lemon
6-8 mint leaves
Muddle the mint leaves in a cocktail shaker, fill the shaker with ice and add the remaining ingredients. Shake vigorously to chill. Strain into a glass tumbler filled with ice and garnish with a mint sprig.
FLORADORA
Same as the character Bill Bailey is named after a song, this cocktail is also named after an old musical from the 1900s. A lovely summer refresher too.
45ml Gin
22.5ml Chambord
15ml freshly squeezed lime juice
75ml fiery ginger beer to top
Fill a shaker with ice, add all the ingredients except the ginger beer, shake hard to chill. Strain into a tall glass filled with ice and top with the ginger beer. Garnish with a lime wedge and a fresh raspberry.
PAUL’S KINGDOM OF CHOCOLATE (AKA MUDSLIDE)
22.5ml vodka
22.5ml Baileys
22.5ml Kahlua
2 scoops of vanilla ice cream
Ice
Add a small handful of crushed ice to a blender cup and add all the ingredients. Blend until smooth. Drizzle chocolate sauce around the inside of the glass and pour in the blended drink. Drizzle more chocolate sauce on topped serve!
